Contractors working on behalf of United Utilities are cleaning and surveying a sewer on Chester Rd TOMORROW near the junction of Longmead Ave. Work is scheduled to take place on 1st July between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The workers will use Stop/Go boards to manage traffic.

Good news – double yellow lines will now be extended at the junction of Douglas Road and Queens Road There are further measures still being considered and will be duly consulted on if necessary, however this will help residents that have been concerned about parking at this particular junction.

There will be bridge repairs on the Rising Sun Bridge from today, Tuesday 31st May until Saturday 11th June. The hours of operation are 9pm to 6am, so it should minimise disruption.
