This new consultation into open space provision & commuted sums can appear a bit dry, but boring consultations are usually the ones that have the greatest impact on your lives.

The commuted sums aspect of the report is the main way investment into our parks is funnelled. The local Council is not the main investor into play equipment now, rather housing developers pay section 106 monies to our parks.

Torkington Park has benefitted from schemes on commercial Rd, Torkington Rd & near the park and ride recently, which other sums supporting green Lane Park & Devonshire Rd park.
