Standing up for Hazel Grove All Year Round Learn more
by jontwigge on 2 March, 2017
The traffic lights outside the Park and Ride on Macclesfield Road in Hazel Grove keep turning red, heading towards the A6 only, for no reason.
The lights are there to let the buses out when they want to make their way back to the A6 to return to Manchester. But, stopping the traffic in only one direction, when there isn’t even a bus trying to get out, does not seem to make much sense. This is really frustrating for anyone waiting for them to go green again, especially when often you can see the green filter light ahead showing the way ahead is clear onto the A6.
I have written to Transport for Greater Manchester asking for them to explain why these lights behave so oddly, or to get them fixed. We will let you know when we hear back…
