My only concern is cars dropping off and picking up during the week. Torkington road is alreadt very congested during the week. Won’t this make it vey difficult to get past the care home, with cars going in and out.

Oh what a mess that’s been made of Hazel zGrove over the years. It wasn’t so long ago that we were told we would have to find away of reducing traffic along Torkington rd and yet low & behold more flats. Then in the recent year additional flats were built on Commercial rd.
58 years ago the council compulsory purchased some homes in Hazel Grove to build a bypass because of congestion through H/ Grove, then it got scrapped. Now we have the A555 that got built and closes quite often due to floods, not that it eased any traffic going into Hazel Grove.
Hazelwood rd traffic isn’t safe to cross where senior citizens live in bungalows, although humps were put in it doesn’t stop 4/4’s flying up and down it at great speed. The volume of traffic on this particular road has increased 10 fold in the last decade or so.
Doesn’t seem be any foresight looking at passed history.
But what is the tiresome saying these day’s- lessons will be learned – but when!!!

To make this Lodge into beautiful apartments sounds a great idea… anything to get rid of this derelict building would be great. However, at this stage we don’t have enough information. At present the car park is used for people to bring their dog to the park and to get to it one has to go via Torkington Road which is heavily used. If this car park becomes the property of the flat owners,
then I can’t see it will make any difference regarding extra traffic.
Even if the occupants of the flats go out twice a day, that will be less than what is happening now.
I think it is great time something gets sorted out regarding the heavy traffic on Torkington Road which we were promised when the bypass A555 was built.
