The long mooted plans for Stockport Council Housing arm Viaduct Housing to turn the former Council House into 13 shared ownership flats were submitted in late January.

Cllr Paul Ankers attended a consultation event in his first few of being a Councillor in 2018, but has heard little since. He said, “This building has a special place in the heart of Hazel Grove people but has been in decline for many years. Its will be good to see it revitalised, but the scheme has to be fair to the affections of Hazel Grove.”

It seems likely that changes have been made to the 2018 plan and your Councillors will be scrutinising plans closely.
