There will be improved road safety markings and restrictions around Norbury Hall School after concerns parents contacted Cllr Paul Ankers.

The scheme will make it harder for drivers to park directly around the school. The concern is both about parents dropping off/picking up and also that Shepley Drive/Castleton Rd/Haddon Rd is a rat run.

Cllr Paul Ankers said, “Road safety around schools is a major concern of all your Councillors. It is a personal concern as I have a five year old girl and she has friends who to this particular school.”

In a blow to our campaign, Council chiefs have blocked our attempts to get a crossing patrol at Shepley Drive but we will continue to fight for road safety around schools.
