The Greater Manchester Plan for the next twenty years can potentially have a big impact on the lives of villages and towns like Hazel Grove & High Lane.

The headline for Hazel Grove is that not a blade of our greenbelt land will be lost and we will get improved transport with tram-train coming to Hazel Grove. It doesn’t mean houses won’t be built on brownfield land. In High Lane, the plans for 4,000 houses has been reduced to 500.

There are a number of consultation events, the first of which is in Hazel Grove on 5th February.
