The NHS is not safe in Tory hands.

The UK has less than half the hospital beds per person than France or Poland and only a third of those available in Germany. The UK is outperformed by Greece, Portugal, Italy & Spain despite some of these countries being on the brink of bankruptcy in the last decade.

Hospital Beds per 100,000

Germany       823

Poland          663

France           621

Greece           424

Portugal        332

Italy               331

Spain             297

UK                  273

LibDem Campaigner Paul Ankers said, “This is a disgrace. The NHS costs over £100Bn a year but we can’t be sure of a bed when we need it. When my wife was in labour we were nearly turned away by Stepping Hill. I thought that was the exception, I fear it could be the rule!”
